  114. tony and sharon says:

    Ben’s Cornish kitchen
    Marazion
This place is a hidden gem, the food is fantastic and the quality is up to Michelin star standard. With local produce and the fresh sea catch of the day you can’t go wrong. For starters I had the Seared Falmouth Scallops with cauliflower and cumin puree, Moroccan caramel, apple match sticks, curry oil. It was simply a delight to the taste buds, the favours really complimented each other and you got plenty of scallops. For the mains I went for the Pan roasted Cod fillet with picked girolles, leeks and smoked pancetta, surf clam beurre blanc, sauteed potatoes. The size of the portion was huge and those sweet surf clams contrasted lovely to the smokey pancetta. For dessert I opted for Toby’s selection of miniature dessert’s which I shared with my wife, well one can’t be to greedy and she did eat the lion’s share. All this was accompanied by a glass or two Camel valley pinot noir rose brut, the best in the UK, what a wonderful evening.

Fantastic restaurant with great friendly service
good quality food fresh local produce
