Tired of throwing together the same old dishes? Desperate to stretch your culinary muscles? At Rick Stein’s Cookery School in Padstow there are plenty of opportunities to expand your dining room menu and take your social soirees to the next culinary level.

You don’t know how good fresh seafood can be until you’ve been schooled in all things piscatorial at Stein’s. Although it’s not just fish on the menu: there’s plenty more besides, with day courses covering how to fabricate aromatic Indian curries, Far Eastern and Italian cuisine, fragrant street food, Spanish tapas and more. While budding bakers and artisans can master cakes and patisserie in the selection of sweet-toothed sessions.

New this year is the Cook with Jack Stein course, where you’ll spend the day with the Cornish chef creating some of his favourite recipes using locally-sourced seasonal produce. Top picks include ceviche of monkfish, smoked chilli and shallots, razor clams with borage and persillade butter, fish tacos with crispy chicken skin, and turbot with spring vegetables and miso.
