The South West’s best-loved food and drink have been named at the first food Reader Awards – sponsored by Mole Valley Farmers – at last night’s glittering award ceremony.
Winners were announced at the ABode Hotel in Exeter after the food Reader Awards 2012 received thousands of votes from South West consumers.
From best-kept secrets to foodie household names, consumers named the best foodie pubs, cafes, retailers, restaurants, hotels, local drinks, local chefs and local food products as well as their local food hero.
Jo Rees, editor of food magazine, said, ‘Our readers have spoken! The food Reader Awards winners showcase some of the best-loved food and drink in the South West. We received thousands of votes and were thrilled to discover how passionate consumers are about supporting local food businesses.’
