After receiving over 10,000 nominations in the first round of voting, it’s time to flex you finger tips and foodie know-how and crown the 2018 food Reader Awards winners. Voting closes at 12pm December 18, when the grand finalists are revealed. The winners will announced at a foodie-studded ceremony at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall on February 5 – don’t miss the opportunity to get behind your local faves.

Food Reader Awards 2017 winners crowned in fantastical feast at Yeo Valley HQ in Somerset

Over 8000 of you lovely lot took to your phones, tablets and laptops to get behind your favourite South West chefs, restaurants, hotels and foodie hot spots in this year’s Food Reader Awards.

After sifting through nearly 100,000 votes, the 2017 winners were crowned at a wild and celebratory winter feast and awards night at Yeo Valley HQ in Blagdon on February 6.

Editor Jo Rees did a sterling job as MC for the evening, with the guys in the kitchen at Yeo Valley treating guests to a sumptuous supper of Pipers Farm Chicken, baby leek and truffle terrine, Holt Farm sirloin, mushroom ravioli, roast salsify, red wine and thyme liquor, and toffee apple yogurt parfait, with liquid refreshment from Sharp’s Brewery.
