There are 19 luxurious bedrooms, each individual in character with Hypnos beds, Egyptian Cotton linens, fluffy bath robes, flat screen TVs and Nespresso machines are all complimentary. Most bedrooms have fantastic sea views too.
At the heart of The Idle Rocks is The Kitchen restaurant headed up by head chef Guy Owen. Crafting a vibrant menu that changes with the season, Guy’s sleek and simplistic style of cookery showcases the world-class local produce the Cornish coast has to offer. You’ll often find foraged ingredients taking centre stage on his menus, with many of the supporting acts sourced from the farmer’s market.
Visiting in the summer is particularly idyllic, with seafood feasts on the hotel terrace in warmer months. And at cooler times you can savour the smoky, barbecue flavours of meat and seafood cooked over coals on its Josper grill.
The hotel terrace has the best views around, especially when there’s racing on the water.
There’s lots to do around the hotel, whether you’re into kayaking, watersports, tennis or spa treatments. Children can have crab nets to take to the beach too.
If you catch a fish, bring it back to the hotel and the chef will gladly cook it for you.
