Classic fish and chips and fresh seafood overlooking Falmouth Harbour
Overlooking Falmouth’s Events Square, Rick Stein’s Fish is an ideal spot to tuck into fish and chips and other seafood delights while enjoying views of Falmouth Harbour.
This light and airy restaurant is a welcoming environment for families, with thoughtful touches such as colouring in sheets to keep kids occupied while you wait.
Having worked for Rick Stein for over twelve years, head chef Luke Taylor and his team create some of Rick’s favourite seafood dishes such as grilled sea bream fillets, moules marinière, grilled lobster, shucked oysters and choices from the daily specials board.
Classic fish and chips are at the heart of the menu, with cod and haddock together with a variety of local fish like hake, monkfish and John Dory. As well as traditional fish and chips, the takeaway offers grilled hamburgers, tiger prawns, fish chilli burgers, mussels and more.
The fish is cooked in beef dripping, which produces a beautiful golden batter, but if you’re in search of a lighter bite then there’s a good selection of grilled fish on offer too. Many of the condiments are made in house, including curry and tartar sauce, alongside homemade mushy peas, jams, patisserie and bread.
Sourcing is taken seriously, with produce from local Cornish suppliers at the heart of the menu including fish from Matthew Stevens, meat from Warrens in Launceston and Rodda’s clotted cream.
Partner your fish dish with a warming mug of tea, a sparkling glass of English fizz, or some Chalky’s Bite and Chalky’s Bark from Sharp’s Brewery in Rock.
Salad of Lancashire cheese with pancetta in balsamic vinegar and chilli beetroot, £6.95
Meen kulambu – a fragrant cod curry from Southern India, £12.95

Rick Stein’s Fish also serves grilled fish and gluten free batter, perfect for those looking for a less indulgent treat.
