Funky brasserie with American inspired cuisine

Named after the square, rocky outcrop at the south end of the beach, Zacry’s is the buzzy, beautiful new restaurant at Watergate Bay Hotel.

The funky joint combines Cornish attitude with classic brasserie style décor and top quality food that draws on international influences, local inspiration and executive chef Neil Haydock’s passion for contemporary American cuisine. As a result grilled meat and seafood all feature big-time, thanks to the indoor charcoal oven, and flavours are big, bold and distinctive.

Provenance is also important and the seasonal menus showcase both classical and contemporary dishes. It’s a stylish spot to eat after a walk on the beach or a day in the surf: zigzagging through the large open plan space are tan leather banquettes and zinc-wrapped refectory tables on oak and tiled chevron floors. Large tables share the space with smaller booths and a private dining room provides almost complete seclusion for parties and events. Head to the other end of the room and the feel is light and bright with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Everyone’s welcome – you certainly don’t have to be a hotel guest to visit, but it gets busy so it’s worth booking in advance.
