Calling all fine dining fiends … We’ve an overnight stay for two at The Castle Hotel in Taunton, complete with an evening feast cooked by top chefs for the taking
The Castle Hotel hosts Taunton’s inaugural Feast festival on September 29 – October 1. Head down to get your fill of local foodie festivities and get stuck into workshops on sausage-making, coffee tasting, foraging and more. Send the kids off to decorate cupcakes while you enjoy cooking demos from some of the region’s top chefs and mosey around the marketplace.
If the festival thrills wasn’t enough, The Castle will be hosting a series of sumptuous feasts in one of its decadent private dining rooms with some of the country’s most beloved chefs, including Michael Caines, Jude Kereama, Josh Eggleton and Emily Watkins.
Having started life as a Norman fortress, The Castle is one of Britain’s most historic hotels. With four stars to its name, the dramatic, wisteria-bedecked building has been welcoming travellers since the 12th century. Enjoying the conveniences of a town setting but with easy access to breathtaking rural landscapes, guests are just a short drive from Exmoor, the Quantocks, and other stunning South West beauty spots.
Food has teamed up with Feast Taunton and The Castle Hotel to offer readers the chance to be at the heart of the festivities with an overnight stay and tickets to the evening feast with chef Michael Caines.
