Returning to the historic Exeter Castle Courtyard and Northernhay Gardens in the heart of Exeter, the 14th Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink kicks off at 6.30pm on Friday, April 28 with the first of three nights of live music, roaming restaurants and local tipples. From Saturday, April 29 daytime events bring the festival into full swing with demos from some of the region’s finest chefs including festival co-founder Michael Caines.
Visitors can look forward to culinary workshops, hands-on activities for future foodies and more than 100 artisanal producers to be explored in the Food and Drink marquees. Stock up on everything from traditional cheeses, meats preserves and ciders to trendy twists on gins, charcuteries, ice cream, oils, coffee and so much more.
The winner and their lucky guest will receive entry to the festival on Bank Holiday Monday, May 1 before heading to Cary Arms Hotel and Spa in picturesque Babbacombe Bay. A short drive from Exeter, the boutique inn on the beach is brimming with coastal charm. The recently launched Cary Arms beach huts offer fun and luxurious accommodation with stunning sea views. Each hut features a double bedroom on a mezzanine floor and a private terrace from which to enjoy the views. The winner and guest will receive breakfast and a relaxing treatment each in the newly launched spa.
